While Google will provide a lot of information on Latin dance forms, let us share with you our experience of these Western Classical Dance forms as teachers and dancers. The 5 Latin dances Rumba, Cha Cha, Jive, Samba and the Paso Doble are a way of life and it goes beyond just dance. These dances:

Offer health benefits and are similar at times to going to the Gym, apart from the fact that it provides long-term positive effect on your metabolism when done for a few months. Jive for example, is more for cardio and calf muscles and ankle strengthening. Rumba is the slowest but has the most sustained effect on fitness as it involves more muscle usage and control. These benefits are available for social dancers as well, because when we teach, we customise it to suit the needs of the students.
Helps build relationship skills - Being a partner dance form, particularly Latin forms, need a level of receptiveness between partners and helps develop relationship skills and personality changes in a very subtle way. It also helps improve the connection between the partners and builds on the need for the lead and follow as partners.
Act as stress busters - Dance in general and Latin dance in particular, have a huge impact on releasing happy hormones and fighting stress - work related or even other types of stress. A number of our students give up all other activities and pursue our dance classes when challenged with time, due to the visible benefits that they see. Yes you can dance even if you have never danced before. We have a systematic approach starting with the pre bronze level.

Do I need a partner for the Latin Classes?

Not necessary, while Latin is a partner dance form, you need not come with a partner. You can dance with our instructors in our private classes and with other students in the group ones.

Yes. Private Latin dance classes are offered either at your location or at any of our conveniently located studios across Dubai.

What do you need to carry and wear?

You can be dressed in anything comfortable. We do not have a strict dress code for the classes.
However, formal shoes for men and skirts, trousers or dresses for ladies with dance shoes would be perfect. However, if you don’t have shoes initially, you can dance with socks and then invest in the shoes later.
